I bought 10 dollar plain white AirWalks from Payless and drew on them
I originally wanted to get a few of these, but they didn't have my size. This is a size 10.5 and I normally wear an 11 and this was the largest plain white one they had close to my size.
Anyway, first shoe is Cyclops and Sunfire. I love sunfire, especially his Age of Apocalypse/Horseman costume and I don't think he gets enough love! The second one is Gambit and Zombie Wolverine. I don't like Wolverine and I am probably the only person that doesn't but I figured zombie-fying him would be a nice little poke at him.
Oh yeah, I haven't been in a Payless since 97 and man, a LOT of things have changed! They actually have 40 dollar shoes in there! I got lucky finding the 10 dollar pair I got!
Marvel owns these characters and I claim no ownership over them!
PS: The cute girl on my desktop is So Hee from Wondergirls. Don't like their music but love her, she's so cute! And also, I only had Red, Blue, and Black sharpies.
It took about 30 minutes to sketch them on and ink over them. I did something similar for my brother but his took a bit longer since I am not all that familiar with the Star Ocean series.
I wore mine out and walked around in them for about 3 hours and my feet started hurting. I think it's partially because it was a size smaller than I normally wear (they didn't have 11's) but I don't know. Yeah hopefully they last a while. I've decided to wear them sparingly because I'm afraid of them just falling apart after a while!
it's good to go a little smaller with... well, Chucks, anyway-- but these look similar. they uh... wear out pretty much half a size larger than you buy em usually or maybe just mine do, i got wide feet.
So far the shoes have been good to me, but I haven't worn them when I go play volleyball, fearing them getting messed up or just down right torn apart. The size has been a problem with me lately though... my heel kinda pushes in the back, going a bit beyond the sole of the shoe and it's been hurting if I wear and walk in these for more than... um, 4 hours-ish.
Wide feet are cute, especially if they have chubby toes! I like chubby fingers and toes because they just seem really cute to me and IMO cute > hot (hawt, whatever)
LOL making the distinction between hot and hawt. yes, cuteness is much better than temperatures over 120 degrees F.
that sucks about the shoes not fitting well even after wear. to be honest i can't wear my Chucks to work anymore; i've gotten so old and lost my resilience to walking on hard unforgiving rubber soles on a tile floor. they're only for short outings now.
